ROB LAt, ATC
North High School
AMIE Kern LAT, ATC
South High School

Amie received her BS in Athletic training, from George Washington University in Washington DC, in 2008. She played soccer there for 4 years, and was captain her senior year. As an athletic trainer she has worked with DC public schools, Catholic University, GW women's lacrosse and DC United.

In 2010 she applied to Graduate schools in States she had never been to, and ended up at UCCS where she achieved a Masters in Sports Medicine. While there she also played a 5th year of soccer, and was a graduate assistant ATC for Men's basketball, XC and track and field.

In 2015 she graduated with an Associates Degree in Massage therapy, with certificates in Lymph drainage, sports massage and Neuromuscular technique

For a while she couldn't find a job in CO, and got her first “adult job” Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, IL. She loved Chicago, but hated living there after 2 years in Colorado. So she moved back to CO/Denver and 2011 became ATC at Denver South High School.

In 2012 she started working men's rugby with the Denver Highlanders, got the call up to work USA women's rugby summer 2012. She has continued working USA rugby since. This is what led her to pursue her associates in massage therapy.

In Spring 2015, she left South to become medical coordinator at University of Denver for the men's and women's rugby teams. After attending the 2017 Women's rugby World Cup in Ireland as team massage therapist and assistant manager where the USA finished 4th in the World, she opened up her own office for massage therapy.

Now she is in a place to work USA rugby, continue to build her private practice for massage and attend and build the sports medicine care for Denver South student athletes. South and the DPS sports medicine team was her family in 2011-2015, and all have been beyond supportive of her when she returned back here in 2019. She couldn't ask for a better group to be around at the right times in my life and, she is excited to return to South a little older, smarter and to continue to develop as a professional

She became at ATC because she was always injured as a 3 sport athlete in high school and always found it fun to learn from my HS athletic trainer. She got to hang out with the college students and be a HS student assistant all 4 years around football, which she loved every second of and propelled her into college.  She loves learning about how the body gets injured, and how key bracing and rehab can get athletes back. She said “The body is pretty cool and allows us to do cool things with it.”
